Sector, 2023
Titled "Sector," my ceramic creation represents a hive city sector within a larger implied structure. This dystopian enclave serves as a microcosm of humanity's struggle for survival, where the remnants of society adapt and recycle their environment in the face of scarcity.
Much like the ceramic medium itself, the sector is a metaphor for resilience and adaptation. Just as the citizens of this dystopian world repurpose their surroundings to fit their needs, so too does the ceramic artist—reconstructing identity and expression from the shards of life's challenges.
